The CAD designers from “SSS Design” are allowed to freely express their creativity at the Toy Factory. There is no compromise when it comes to the comfort, which is the most essential part of the design. Ergonomic process is always incorporated as the space is created on the screen, for that purpose. Material and texture, brilliance, serenity, as well as quality of light for furniture are selected and creatively manipulated. Such attention for detail is applied on the fabric and sensations of decorative fixtures as well. Stage of design is important. There is also no compromise on possibilities.
Designers at Toy Factory constantly and continuously refine their sensibilities. They travel around the world through places such as Europe to see for themselves a variety of genuine designs. Ideas and knowledge, as well as the cutting edge senses gained through such effort are merged with sensibilities that are uniquely Japanese and incorporated into the design. Designs that are created in this manner are not merely trendy but have universal appeal.
The design team evaluates each vehicle on the traveling performance, fuel economy and riding comfort by conducting tests on aerodynamics and power supply system, as well as thermal insulation system over several months prior to the commencement of fabrication. No compromise is made in realizing possibilities during the design stage and these processes are extremely emphasized.

It has been over 20 years since the first campervan was released by Toy Factory. Since then, the development team has experienced many failure and triumphs, as they continue to strive for creating vehicles to have our customers "thrilled and excited" as the top priority, with strong conviction vested on each and every line on drawings.
There are so many things that are necessary to design, for example a living room. It is essential that designers are thoroughly familiar with ergonomics and combine artistic design, colors, light, materials and fun in a comprehensive manner, to create vehicles that feel comfortable while work is performed with heightened five senses. We add "just a bit more consideration" seriously and such considerations are incorporated in various locations translates into sensations of comfort our customers feel. We imagine the smils of our customers as we strive on with, are artistic and engineering design work.

Know-how of living space design can also be passed onto vehicles that are required in public scenes, such as fire engines and medical vehicles. "Necessary requests will be fulfilled!" Toy-Factory is engaged in social contribution activities, with this motto as the policy of the Development Department.
"Starting from No Medical Knowledge"
There are many regions in the world where medical treatment is not available to people.
As we searched for scenes where our technologies can be utilized, we arrived at contribution activities to deal with issue of disparities in medical care around the world. We have repeatedly conducted our interviews in the field to gain what they really need in order to improve our products.
The roof solar system developed by Toy Factory received the "Good Design Award 2009," supported by the Ministry of Economic, Trade and Industry of Japan. As abnormal climactic phenomena frequently occur due to global warming, we decided that it is time for society to consider new designs that are in harmony with earth, while maintaining abundance. Fabrication of campervans is not an exception.
We at Toy Factory have developed a solar system with the topic of considering the natural environment while satisfying abundance of our lives, actions intended for the conservation of the global environment are sought.
What we the staff members shared right from the start of the development was that we would present our design features and functional performance that bear fruits as our products in a stage that exceeds beyond the boundaries of the industry and make our presence known. What we selected as the ideal opportunity was the Good Design Award, a challenging undertaking on our part.
We were fortunate enough to pass through the primary and final screening for our roof solar system, which led us to the general exhibition at the Good Design Expo, after which we succeeded in attaining the honor of receiving the Good Design Award. We had a lot to learn through our journey to this accomplishment, which will lead to our developments in the future.
Taking on such challenge also raised the morale of our staff members. That might be our greatest reward from our challenge of receiving the Good Design Award.
